Global Journeys was built on passion, persistence, experience, and one very simple belief:
What began in September 2019 as one advisor building a business through determination has grown into a company with an exceptional team, a loyal client base, strong industry relationships, national recognition, and a reputation built largely through word of mouth.
I became a travel advisor in September 2019 and found success almost immediately. I was largely self-taught, learning the industry through determination, research, and a willingness to keep asking questions until I found the answers my clients needed.
Within months, the world effectively shut down. Borders closed, flights were cancelled, rules changed constantly, and travellers were left navigating an industry that suddenly had very few clear answers.
People needed more than someone who could book a vacation. They needed an advocate — someone willing to research government regulations, understand exemptions, find solutions, and keep going when the first answer was no.
Sometimes a travel advisor’s job is not simply to make a reservation. Sometimes it is to solve a problem when the answer is buried in the fine print.
During the pandemic, I worked relentlessly to help clients travel when it seemed nearly impossible — including helping families reach critically ill and dying loved ones by researching requirements, medical documentation, permissions and every available routing option.
That commitment became the foundation of Global Journeys.
As our client base grew, so did the company. I have been very intentional about surrounding myself with advisors who genuinely love travel and understand that our clients are trusting us with something important.
It may be a trip that has taken years to save for — and our responsibility is to take that trust seriously.
The best travel advice comes from real experience — personal travel, resort inspections, supplier relationships and destination education. Sunshine, beaches, palm trees and warm-weather escapes have always been my passion.
I know the questions to ask.
I know how important the right room category can be.
I understand that one resort may be perfect for one traveller — and completely wrong for another.
Firsthand, not guesswork
I have personally toured Barceló properties throughout the Dominican Republic and met hotel representatives and management teams at multiple levels, including visits connected with the company’s operations in Santo Domingo. That is insight you can’t get from a resort description online.
Two consecutive years
That achievement represents far more than sales volume. It reflects years of trust from our clients, strong supplier relationships, destination knowledge, repeat business, referrals, and an unwavering commitment to customer service.
I am extremely proud of what we have created. When a client messages us from their destination to tell us how much they are enjoying their trip, it means everything to us. That is why we do what we do.
We care about our clients.
We care about the experience.
We care about getting the details right.
And we will always go the extra mile.
